Setting a primary ENS name is a strategic step in leveraging the ENS system for more effective communication, transactional ease, and personal or brand recognition in the decentralized web.
You can simply jump to Quick Access Menu of this FAQ Section (Edit your web3 Profile Quick Access) to learn the speedy version!
Start by navigating to your profile.
Navigate a t name you want to set as your primary, hover over the name and click on the 3 dots:
The Name will be opened on the name manager page. Simply click on the “set as primary name” button below the image.
A pop-up menu will open, asking you for confirmation that you want to set the primary for the specific wallet, and also showing you your current primary name (f.E. shuka.eth in this case below)
The transaction consumes a gas fee on the Ethereum network.
Click “set primary” to initiate the transaction and sign with your wallet.
You should see the button “your primary name” now under your image:
Your primary name will be visible now on multiple platforms if you make transactions,
f.E. on etherscan.io
Your name will also be shown on Vision.io, replacing your wallet address.
